You can barely hear the rustle of the grass over the clicking of hooves and soft bellowing of cows. The air is cool enough you need a jacket but the sun on your face makes everything right. Laughter and jokes carry the day. Miles and miles spent horseback trailing cattle to summer grass and back. Life is good!
What is your favorite aspect of what you do for a living? I’d love to hear about in the comments.
Mine is moving cattle. It’s not always easy and can often be way too cold or hot. But there’s still something so magical about sitting astride your favorite horse alongside your favorite people. It’s my sweet spot!
God created each of us with different gifts, strengths and abilities and all of those can be used for His glory. That includes moving cattle!
Does that sound strange to you? Hang with me a second.
1 Corinthians 10:31 tells us that whatever we do, do it all for the glory of God.
That includes moving cattle, office work, dishes, raising children, starting your business, etc.
EVERYTHING!
So even though moving cattle is my favorite part of ranching and most often easier to give God glory there, I can still bring God glory when I’m paying bills, folding clothes and getting groceries.
Let it all be for His glory and to serve others well.
I put together a very short video of my favorite job! I hope you enjoy it.
It’s so important to share our ranching and farming stories so the rest of the world can see there are still so many of us out here working hard to provide quality food for the world.
If you enjoyed this or any of my Ag posts please share them with others. Thanks!
