We all have different burdens to carry as we go through life. There are times in life when we feel like the burden is so great and we’re all alone. Other times we can feel the load lighten as we’re lifted up by those who love us.
Often we choose to forge on ahead by ourselves thinking we’re strong enough on our own to get up that mountain. But, why?
[Tweet “Jesus is always ready to help us carry our heavy load. “]
I’ve been so blessed to have many loved ones who have helped point me back to the great Counselor whenever I get off track. I have to be honest, that’s been more often in my past than I care to admit.
Two are better than one because a good return comes when two work together. If one of them falls, the other can help him up. But who will help the pitiful person who falls down alone? Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (VOICE)
So the next time you have your head down, struggling up that mountain all alone, look up! Call out to Jesus. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Just be honest! Surround yourself with others who will help you lighten the load by praying you through it.
Do you need someone to stand with you in prayer for a “mountain” you’re facing? I would be happy to stand with you. Leave me a comment below and let me know how I can be praying for you.
Also, I’m so excited to share my dad’s newest music venture with you. My dad is a man of God with a faith that runs deep. I’m so blessed by the example he has set for all of us in the family. Please check out his music on YouTube.
On a family note, we’re trying to get in touch with a family member we’ve not been blessed to meet yet. My dad wrote a song for his granddaughter and is hoping by sharing it on social media her mom will eventually see it. If you feel led, we’d sure appreciate you sharing “Gabrielle’s song”.
It’s so good to know that God places others in our lives to share our burdens. But I have to admit, I’m not as quick to share them as I should. Mostly pride, I’m sure. Thanks for your gentle reminder that we should. Blessings!
I can get caught up trying to shoulder them on my own as well. You’re right that it’s my own pride. So grateful to have people around me that keep pointing me back in the right direction. Blessings to you as well.
Oh yes, been there!!! I’m so grateful to have a tribe of people doing the same for me. Love this, Laura! #livefreeThursday
Thanks Crystal! So grateful you have a tribe of people lifting you up as well. It’s so important.
Special man, your father. Thanks for sharing his song. God knows what Gabrielle needs as well as Grandpa. I pray that there is a meeting….soon!
Thank you very much Linda. I’m so blessed!
